Progress on site continues briskly, as we move to the final stages of the external build and onto the internal fit out.
The distinctive red roof is now almost complete – using BSW’s IRO timber. The wooden roof was chosen because of its significantly lower carbon impact compared to other roof finishes.
The Fakro rooflights have also been installed, and STEICO products are keeping the house well protected both externally – with STEICO multi UDB vapour-permeable airtight membrane – and internally with STEICO Flex 036 flexible thermal insulation.
On the inside, in addition to the insulation, first fix electrics and the MVHR ducting – by Paul Heat Recovery Scotland – are in place ahead of continuing internal fit-out during the next two weeks.
It’s also good to see that the site around us has now been cleared for the Sustainable Glasgow Landing event. IGS vertical farm is the first neighbour to arrive, and we look forward to meeting others.
